Funding

Who pays for an incoming staff mobility at USH.

PROGRAMME COUNTRIES
Funded by your home institution
For all incoming mobilities from EU programme countries — including Türkiye, Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, North Macedonia, Serbia — your home institution covers the full grant and travel support.
PARTNER COUNTRIES
Funded by USH
In case of an active KA171 project implemented with the sending institution for incoming staff from non-EU partner countries. Please check with your institution’s International Relations Office for current common active partnership between both institutions.

Eligibility & expectations

  • Be employed by an institution holding a valid inter-institutional agreement with USH
  • Submit a Mobility Agreement signed by your home institution before the visit
  • Receive a letter of invitation from the USH Erasmus Office
  • For STA: teach a minimum of 8 hours per week at USH

Your first day at USH

All incoming staff start at the same place.

Sign documents on arrival
Mobility Agreement, attendance form, and any remaining paperwork are processed at the Erasmus Office on your first day.

Teaching staff (STA) → relevant academic department
After signing, our office introduces you to the colleagues hosting your teaching activity.

Training staff (STT) → relevant administrative department
Depending on your role, you’ll be directed to Accounting, HR, Legal, or another relevant office for your training programme.

Erasmus Office available throughout the visit
Come back to our office whenever you need support, additional documents, or help during your stay.

All Erasmus paperwork prepared and signed at the Erasmus Office. Certificate of attendance issued at the end of the visit.

Sit in on selected courses to observe teaching methods. Available subject to confirmation from the lecturers concerned.

Roundtables, joint projects and informal discussions with USH faculty. Your visit becomes part of an ongoing dialogue.

Accommodation
We recommend hotels within walking distance of the main campus (Ion Ghica 13). Booking is your responsibility — we share preferred partners on request.
ARRIVAL
From Henri Coandă Airport
Express bus 783 (≈45 min) or taxi (≈25 min). Public transport day pass: 8 lei (~1.6 €).
INSURANCE
Health insurance
EU/EEA staff are covered by EHIC. Non-EU staff must hold valid travel and health insurance for the full visit period.
